Oh yes. This is one of the things I'm trying to drill into Sam's head impart upon Samantha. Along with Just because you can doesn't mean you *should* and Just because you can afford it doesn't mean you should get it.

And hey, maybe they'll leech into the baby too, as she hears them repeated eleventyzillion times. *grin*

Excellent lessons... my parents' version was that "I didn't MEAN to!" isn't enough, "You have to mean NOT to!" Responsibility, again.

Funny, I was thinking about this kind of thing just last night. Specifically, my boyfriend always tries to 'correct' me when I use the first-person-plural when referring to things the US as a country did. I think it's about owning up to responsibility, and far better than saying "They", which implies some kind of discreet, continuous super-cabal behind everything a country does.

There might be a whole post in there, if I could get off my butt.
