FINALLY got around to playing Portal 2!*

I think I liked the first one better in terms of one-on-one interaction with GLaDOS. But I absolutely loved the puzzles in this one. I love thinking in Portals, and the feeling when you figure something out is brilliant. Plus, JK Simmons is always worthwhile.

And the very lastest puzzle--I knew it was coming because I stumbled across it somewhere on the net, but who cares--is especially great. And they build up to it nicely, too.

Also, I want to add that if gyms had Portal puzzles (and bracer boots), I'd probably be in a lot better shape than I am now.

*Look, I had it on CD-ROM, and I no longer have a CD drive. But my brother's XBox is hanging out at my place for a while, and I realized the other day that he has Portal 2 on that. TIME TO PLAY!

It's kind of weird to me that we've hit the point where "I have it on CD" is becoming about as useless as "I have it on a floppy disk" or "I have it on tape".

Living in the future is weird.

I work as a high school drama teacher in Australia - and kids who choose Film as their major project can still submit their works on VHS! They only brought in USB submission this year!

(All our final exams, projects, major works etc are externally marked so have to be sent off to the marking centres - hence submission requirements!)

I know how that goes. I trained to be a teacher here in the US, and we had to learn how to use a laserdisk player, among other bits of ridiculously obsolete tech.

Speaking of puzzle game with funny robots, have you played The Talos Principle? I highly recommend it.
