So Aunt took 妹 and me to The Devil Wears Prada. Not bad, although it irritates me that they insist upon pretending that people find Anne Hathaway fat or unattractive because her hair is slightly frizzed. Only in Movieland, I guess.

And now I have a Mission: I want to find out who that rising star is, the one I’ve seen in like three movies in the past couple of years.

You know, that albino Burmese python.

I’m not sure if it’s the same one, but then how many enormous yellow snakes can there be in the movie business? I want to research this more fully, and see if they are all the same python, or if gigantic albino Burmese pythons just demanded more roles in the movies.

He and Meryl Streep may have a Thing, too. She was in two of the three movies I saw him in: Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and The Devil Wears Prada. (The other movie I saw one in was PotC: Dead Man’s Chest.) And it piqued my curiosity.

Haven’t found anything on him yet; must keep looking. However, I did learn that in the A Series of Unfortunate Events credits, Dawn Jeffory is credited with the title ‘baby wrangler.’ Since that’s what I called myself back when I worked at that children’s place, I am deeply amused. Also, there are two people listed as ‘duck trainer.’  Two.  This just goes to show, as always, that the last parts of the credits are the best.

I'm gonna guess that they're different snakes. Maybe even different snakes in different scenes. Because I imagine it's hard to get a snake to do everything you want it to do, and maybe it gets testy or something and you have to bring out a double?

The albino Burmese is easily the most readily available albino boid (pythons and boas) in the world. They've been bred quite extensively.

Albino Burmese pythons are apparently pretty bad-tempered snakes (says the zookeeper sibling), so it's entirely possible that it's the same snake.
