Yeah, so, it's not a good day. I hate the Space Place and I hate editing trip photos and I hate trying to make pizza that WON'T JUST GODDAMN SLIDE ONTO THE PIZZA STONE WITHOUT TURNING INTO A CALZONE and I hate flies and I hate humans.

I realized today that my recently-acquired monthly power drain/mood fuckery probably coincides with my pharmacy switching me from one generic Pill to a different generic Pill. They say they're all the same stuff, but they are LYING. I hate them, too.

The nice thing about bad moods like this, though, is you know they won't last. I'll take some Advil and enjoy a nice pizza calzone Margherita and avoid Tinker Bell and David Cronenberg and I will probably love all of the above things again.

Except the flies. Sorry, flies.

Different manufacturers are better or worse about dose precision, and use different "inert" ingredients (which can make a difference in how the main medication is absorbed, or cause other problems depending on your sensitivities -- lactose, for an easy example, is a common filler and problematic for a fair number of people). That said, the choice and balance of hormones in your Pill can make a huge difference, and it's worth talking to your doctor about tuning if what you have now is making you unhappy.

(Me, I gave up on the Pill after two variations in a row turned me into a ball of murderous rage all the time. No fun! I have a temper, but not like that ...)

EXACTLY! Usually I'm totally fine when they switch types on me, but every so often I get one that just doesn't agree with me. It's been long enough that I didn't realize that was the problem this time around until this month.

I tried going off it once. I don't QUITE remember what happened, but I think it involved rivers of blood and the death of every firstborn before I got stabilized again ...

I gave up on the pill after the first set had me usefully pregnancy-free by turning off my sex drive entirely, and then the second one had me bleeding for three months straight. God damn fiddly drugs.
