Hypochondria

Getting rather paranoid about my own health--Mom was sick last week with a miserable cold, and today I have ... A SORE THROAT. It's rather unnerving.

I also seem to be having Old People Problems with my left hip. It feels ... inflamey. Has for weeks. I'm not sure if I've been sitting on it wrong, or if it's some kind of horrible occult infection and I will die within the year, but it's sure making me tear through the Advil.

At least my gallbladder isn't giving me any more trouble. After that I can handle anything.

I've had a sore throat for days, as have several others I know. I blame some allergen I haven't been bothered to pin down.

Your gallbladder was removed, was it not? If it continued to give you trouble after that, you might actually be in some kind of horror movie.

Yeah, allergies are the most likely culprit, but after watching Mom drift miserably around for a week I am just a little nervous.

It was indeed removed! I am fairly confident I can expect no more trouble from that corner. Bright sides!

I get Old People Hips pretty regularly, it really sucks because no matter how I sit or stand, they hurt. (Though I find naproxen works better for me than ibuprofen)

Gallbladder pain really puts things in perspective. After that, you look at any other pain and you go, "yeah, okay, but you're not gallstones."
