Is there anything better than sitting around conlanging while Optimus Prime tells you about crazy-awesome dinosaurs?

No. No, there isn't.

Life is good.

Optimus....does this have something to do with the return of Dinobot in tomorrow's Transformers: Rescuebots, or did Peter Cullen narrate a documentary I don't know about?

He narrated a documentary on NatGeo (Youtubeage!), released about a month ago? Be forewarned that it has painful animation.

Aaaand I just found out that NatGeo misspells Oviraptor on their youtube channel. >:[ Fail.

The attempt to sound hip is pretty painful, too. But dinosaurs, so I'm willing to put up with it.

Tru dat.
It's not a bad documentary. I could only listen though, the animation was driving me up a wall :D;.

Jack Horner's TED talk on Chickenosaurus is pretty awesome. Maybe not AS awesome, but still.

I have yet to read his book on it. I totally buy it, though--birds are pretty dinosaury as it is. I used to just stare at my budgie's feet and think how very related they are.

Oh that is awesome. (yeah, the animation is iffy, but still totally awesome.)

Oh man, you're not kidding about that animation.

Yeah, I'm a lot more impressed by the Beeb's animation in their various documentaries. But do they have Optimus Prime to narrate for them? I DON'T THINK SO.

Yeeaaah.
Honestly I wouldn't mind the bad animation so much if they understood what correct anatomy and range of motion was.

I got to see him at BotCon this year, and he is such a great guy.

More Seven Stars!

Put on a ROM of Super Mario RPG recently, and I think the reason I'd never played it was that the prerendered CD really put me off. (I didn't play it this time because my controller wasn't working)

There are so many "trouble with your Wii" jokes I am not making right now

Argh, that'd do it. Especially since some of the appeal is just how darn PRETTY that game is. Obviously it's not quite Super Mario Galaxy level processing, but the SA-1 chip allowed for some great-looking attacks, settings, characters, etc.

No matter how many games Charles Martinet graces, in my head, Mario will always sound like Lou Albano. And for some reason Bowser has a Texas accent. It definitely directs how I think of the characters ...
