I have used the Aussie Mega Shampoo that has actual papaya enzyme in it on old grease stains with success, however, I'm not sure one can find it any more.
If that occurred to either mine or my wife's jeans, my wife would call her mom. Which is what I'm going to do (or rather, I'm going to walk two doors down, stick my head in the door and ask her how to get it out).
I suggest, if you haven't gotten it out already, wait. The jeans may not yet be lost!
Well, she's not home yet. From the research I've done instead, Oxyclean sounds like your best bet, though.
Also, there is some suggestion that you can use your detergent itself as a booster for helping to get the stain out (like a stick or a spray). You dilute it in a bucket (or sink) of water and soak the the stain in it for a while, half an hour or so. Then take it out and put it in with the rest of the laundry.
I might try soaking it in Oxyclean first, then rinse, and then use this method.
If you don't have Oxyclean, hydrogen peroxide is a good substitute, as Oxyclean is hydrogen peroxide with other things added to it.
Shout makes a spray specifically for grease stains (it's in a can not a bottle). I've had fairly good success with that, even occassionally on older stains.
I use it to pre-treat grease stains and then wash as usual. If the stain is really big, I'd probably rinse a bit of the Dawn out before washing, so that you don't get OMGFOAM!!!!! all over the place.
