Right, so the macabreness is directly proportional to the shmarminess of the thing in question. Today in ASL we got to try and describe these cards called “Story Starters,” and each card had a photo of some twee-ass happy white family doing happy family things. It was like a commercial for Mormonism. My card depicted a mother feeding her suspiciously well-primped daughter, who was Sick In Bed, chicken soup.

I launched into a scenario a la The Sixth Sense, because we’d just learned how to say ‘poison.’

Anyway, in less psychopathic news, Liz and I are now a coupla checks away from an apartment for the fall. They’re nice and big, cheap, and come fully furnished at no extra cost. Just think! Beds that don’t give you back pain! A stove! An oven! Our own shower! No more drunken freshmen! Walls!

I’m actually quite excited about it. The apartments are pretty, and it’s kind of cool to have taken another step toward autonomy. You know, all that stuff that everybody goes through, but that is different now because it’s me. And I’m relieved, because this is one less thing to worry about.

But mostly right now I’m dead tired. CSI night tonight. Liz and I have a running bet as to whether any main character is gonna die in the season finale, and who it’s gonna be. (Our odds say either Brass or Warrick's wife Tina.) We’re hoping it doesn’t happen, though. I loves my CSIs!

Life is good.

EDIT: All my money's on Brass. Still not sure if he actually dies or not, though.
