One of the problems with playing a wind instrument, I’m discovering, is the direct effect one’s sinus troubles have on play quality:

< > *wheeze* v *snorf* < *gasp* > v *inhale* < > *choke* …

If I could only play the Song of Healing through once without wheezing, maybe things would get better …

I'm now imagining some kind of mad science-flavored device that would act as a wind source for a wind instrument when breath gives out. It'd be big!

As an ex trumpet player (well i still can bang out a good scale, the once a year or so i pick up up), try breathing in through your mouth instead. Unless it is a weird ocerina thing, most wind instruments are played with a mouth breath rather than a nose sniff (unless of course you are circular breathing didgeridoo style, damn i wish i learned how to do that!)
