Apropos of your icon, I feel like watching MST3k tonight, but I'm not sure what episode. Any suggestions? I have all of the Joel seasons. Kinda want to watch one I haven't seen yet.

Have you seen all the Joel stuff, then, or were you wanting to watch something from the collection you already have?

It's hard to recommend these because everyone has different tastes, and it depends on the mood you're in. My favorites are usually in the atomic sci-fi category--in the Joel Era that'd be Rocketship X-M, Lost Continent, First Spaceship on Venus, King Dinosaur, It Conquered the World (with a wonderfully overdone speech by Peter Graves), Fire Maidens from Outer Space (which includes the appearance of Timmy, evil hellspawn version of Crow), etc.

But it depends on what you're in the mood for. Teensploitation? Try I Accuse My Parents. Western? Gunslinger. Folkloric Russo-Finnish coproduction? The Day The Earth Froze. Japanese crack? Time of the Apes. And of course there's ... Pod People. Oh, Pod People.

As for Shorts, I'd have to recommend anything from Season 3, though be warned they often attached shorts to movies that were so bad they couldn't find enough feature film to snark for an hour. But shit like Mr. B Natural (War of the Colossal Beast, and if you haven't seen Mr. B yet SHAME ON YOU), or The Home Economics Story (Viking Women against the Sea Serpent, which has exceedingly silly host segments) can cover well enough on their own.

I haven't seen all of the Joel episodes, but I have torrented them all, is what I was trying to say.

So yes, I was looking for Joel recs. I've seen First Spaceship On Venus, Home Ec/Viking Women, Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster (these were the first ones I ever had on tape, so I've practically memorized them), Mr. B/Colossal Beast, Amazing Colossal Man, Hercules vs. the Moon Men ("DEEP HURTING"), Time of the Apes, Pod People, Godzilla vs. Megalon, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, Castle of Fu Manchu (which I will never watch again), Gamera, Gamera vs. Baragon, Gamera vs. Guiron, and Attack of the the Eye Creatures. Off the top of my head. And, just last weekend, Fugitive Alien.

I tend to gravitate towards the sci-fi stuff too, and the Japanese crack.
