Book Bashing

Woke up this morning with moderate nausea and a RAGING MIGRAINE.

“What the hell,” I thought to myself, “where did this come from?”

Then it occurred to me that the migraine could have something to do with the large hardbound book that managed a gravity-fueled pile-drive into the back of my skull yesterday.

Anyone who says library work is easy has obviously never worked in one. Come back to me after you’ve run over your foot with a book truck and then we'll see what's what.

I developed all kinds of kid-safe oaths to use after I'd just had the entire top shelf of hardcover fiction fall on my head. As a direct result of my library employment, "bother" is a *much* stronger word than "fuck".

Yikes!! I used to work in my university library...thankfully I didn't work there long enough to have anything fall on my head, but I came close. Sorry you're not feeling 100% today. :(

I did worry, but it's okay ... I have a neurosurgeon I can consult any time. He says I'll be fine.
