Date: 2010-04-02 06:27 am (UTC)You can get a pretty good idea of what I listen to by looking at my LastFM page, although the classical and jazz aren't as well represented as they probably should be (especially the classical).
I feel like my taste is pretty consistent. But I'd be hard pressed to sum up why.

Date: 2010-04-02 07:25 pm (UTC)My taste feels consistent but is pretty broad--I didn't even delve into the Nuevo Latino or my love affair with the gamelan, because neither of those has a particularly stand-out artist but taken as a whole I'm all over them. And I have a real thing for Chopin and Bach, although I will argue the merits of Strauss with my sister. (Doesn't do much for me.)
But I figured I could at least point you toward some of it!

Date: 2010-04-02 06:31 am (UTC)Right now I'm pretty fond of Elizabeth and the Catapults and Kirsty MacColl, for general music, and I suspect you would be very amused by Candypants's Nerdy Boys - it always makes me giggle. I should see if I can get those Futurama songs somewhere, actually; I hadn't thought of it, but everybody loves that Robot Hell episode.

Date: 2010-04-02 07:20 pm (UTC)I do not know of this Carl Stalling, but I do remain firmly convinced that "Kill the wabbit" is the only correct chorus to "Ride of the Valkyries."
