Today: Snow, Wind, And Slow Internet

Bah, March. The month with an identity crisis. You never know what you’ll see when you look out the window. Rain? Snow? Sun? Wind? All of those at once? Who knows? It’s March!

Anyway, my latest version of Firefox has decided that some pages, including Livejournal, need to take their sweet time to load, and sometimes it forgets it’s loading them and wanders off to, I don’t know, inspect shiny objects or play with LOLCats or something. I’m currently running through some tests to figure out just why it feels so procrastinatey, but the upshot is that I’ve wound up missing the last few days of entries, because loading my friends page takes millions of years. So if anything groundbreaking happened, let me know!

The problem might be Elljay-side. I've heard a ton of similar complaints over the past few days. :(

I figured that might be part of it, too, what with the new changes they're enacting. But ever since I got this Firefox update all sorts of sites have gotten slower.

Suggesting installing "Fasterfox" is probably way too easy of a fix, then. Drat. :(

The problem is on LJ's end, I'm guessing, and not yours. The update has screwed with quite a few browsers (this is the first comment I've successfully left from my home computer in over 48 hours), but they're working out the kinks bit by bit.
