News From Inside My Head:

I have, finally, after a couple of years, named the character I have been referring to as “the Princess.”

Her name is now Zubeda.

I realize this means nothing to you people, and probably won’t until I, y’know, write her book, but after a whole bunch of character development and finding a place where she fit in the story universe, the name Princess Zoob is so perfect that I swear the Legend of Zelda Patented Dopamine Surge Fanfare rang when I came up with it. I love it when that happens.

I think the proper spelling is Zubeida...but then again its a proper noun, so it can be anything. I've even heard it as Jobeda.

I've checked around to make sure, and Zubeda is an acceptable Swahili spelling. Thank you, though--I am always glad to have someone fact-check me. ;)

Wasn't a fact-check, by the way, just a suggestion as to the name :P

Ah! That explains it. Swahili has a lot of Arabic influence--same root, different spelling.

And I honestly am glad you pointed it out. :)

Ah, but which version? While the new fancy ones are pretty awesome, I maintain that there is nothing like the original. (I use it for my txt msg sound. "You got: TXT MSG!")

"Character Development"

Edward didn't know her at first. Now he does!

I mostly use the Zelda "found item" chime when I find something in the silverware drawer, strangely enough. For most other purposes I use the one from Terranigma.

Any relation to President Skroob?

I did think of that--it was part of the appeal, actually.
