Lending A Hand

A week or two ago somebody posted a song on the Terrible Twos, and I started missing the Terrible Twos I worked with back when I volunteered at that children’s place. I tell you, those kids were not, in fact, terrible. They were great. It’s really tough when the odds are stacked against you when you’re two. It felt good to be able to try to help restack the odds.
And then, hearing yet again that Obama has called us all to help people, it occurred to me that, since I’m jobless, Working On My Novel And Looking For My Big Break, and thus have a flexible schedule, I can totally go back and volunteer.
So I will.
Yes, I’m doing what he asks. Why? Because dammit, I should be doing this sort of thing anyway, and he has reminded me—along with this day’s legacy—that we’d better contribute to the changes that have to be made. Here’s to ya, buddy. Be watchin’ tomorrow!
(Hey, dudes, HOW AWESOME IS THIS HUH HUH? IT’S SO AWESOME IT CURED MY FLU. IT’S NOT EVEN JUST BRINGING THE NEGATIVITY BACK TO ZERO, BUT WE ACTUALLY HAVE SOME POSITIVITY AS WELL!)
