Ha. Very appropriate that Unlucky Day coincides with Lisa's Birthday.

(Refer to my most recent entry for the whole story).

Basically, my dog almost died this morning and we had to rush her to the vet, so naturally, I spent most of my birthday crying and pacing. Not fun. We've been hearing periodically from the animal hospital, though, and they say she's doing great and resting comfortably. I'll be so happy if she can come back home tomorrow.

Anyway, thanks for the b-day shout-outs! It IS amazing how the Net brings fellow geeks together. If not for modern technology, I'd be thoroughly convinced that I'm alone in my nerditude.

Have a happy new year and don't get too drunk! As for me, I tend to become depressed when I drink, so I'm wisely laying off on getting buzzed tonight.
