Okay, so remember that movie I Netflixed a week or so back? I saved it for Poker Night at
thoughtbubble’s place,* which was tonight.
JEEZUS CHRIST. The movie is amazing. It’s got everything
ironychanmentioned in that review, plus a giant rainbow space station, starfields that look like Christmas lights, a woman romping around in a leather bikini and later in what appears to be a hazmat tent, a random moment where they grandly stop time for no good reason, and CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER. It is possibly the best terrible movie I have ever seen.

Also, while I was there I argued with
thoughtbubble’s roommate about whether or not Shigeru Miyamoto actually had a hand in creating the Star Fox games.** I was on the side of He Totally Did, while the roommate insisted that I was dumb and didn't know the difference between an executive producer and a creator. Don't try that on me. When it comes to Miyamoto, I know my shit, bitch.
In conclusion: It has been a good night. I saw an awful movie, got sick on junk food, and hung out with good friends. Plus, I was right about something. That's enough to give you a warm glow any day.

*A poker night in which the chips were Reese’s Pieces and I acted like a kid and ate my chips because I wasn’t playing anyway. When asked why I was only eating the yellow ones, which were the second most plentiful and thus worth ten, I replied, “I’m driving up their value!”
**The subject came up I was making fun of the movie robot’s accent and yelled “Do a barrel roll!”, although I only use that line because it’s recognizable to others. For me the most memorable thing Peppy would say in the 64 game was when you would collide with him on an all-range mission and he’d get indignant. I used to seek him out just so I could run into him and hear that Texan voice squawk, “What’s the big ah-DEE-a, Fox?!”
