Tough Break

Also today I had one of my patented thirty-second meltdowns. Nobody’s told me anything about Grandma since Friday, and nobody called or answered my calls or my IMs. That, plus broken computer, plus broken iPod, plus inability to get to the Craft Center, plus shoveling all that sand, plus a poor night’s sleep filled with horrible nightmares from missing a does of my meds, led to a few minutes sobbing on the phone, after which I perked up, fixed my computer, and went back to my daily schedule.

I did try to buy an éclair, but in keeping with the rules of the day, they didn’t have any at the pastry place. So I got Hostess Cupcakes instead, which aren’t exactly the same, but which I can live with.

I have micro-breakdowns, too. And generally feel much better after completely going to pieces for a few minutes!

I agree with both the hugs and the micro-breakdown sympathizing. Sometimes we just need to freak out for a few minutes!
