National Lemon Cupcake Day

Got me grades back. You don’t care, but I thought I’d mention ’em anyway. A in Astronomy (awesome class; when I gets half a chance I’m taking cosmology), A- in 日本語. No surprises there. I also got a B in Pacific Island Archaeology, which I’m pretty pleased with considering that the teacher, while obviously well-acquainted with his subject, had an extremely difficult time actually teaching it.* Esoteric subjects are tough.

And then there’s the B+ in Linguistics. Not, of course, a bad grade, but you gotta pay attention to the case. I mean, this is the subject pertaining to 1. my major, and even more significantly, 2. my hobby. I have been playing with linguistics before I knew it was a subject. To get less than a phenomenal score in it is a little embarrassing.

In other news, I had a dream with an insane juxtaposition even for me: Duck Dodgers and Cthulhu. And now, for no apparent reason, I can’t get the phrase “CSI: Sesame Street” out of my head.

Obviously I’m possessed by demons. We can only hope this doesn’t interfere with me getting a passport.

*I did get some good practice in on drawing quickly, as I started trying to scribble down some of the slides of tools and statues before he changed them.
