I bought the doll. She will be delivered to my Treehouse in Utah, where she will hibernate in her box until spring break.

 

I was going to have a lenghty discussion with Mom about that tonight, about the financial ramifications and whether I should feel guilty and needs versus wants and expenses and all that.  Instead, the conversation went like this:

 

Amelia: I finally found a nice big mermaid doll online!

 

Mom: Oh, yes, your sister showed me the picture. She’s beautiful.

 

Amelia: I was going to buy her.

 

Mom: Okay!

 

Amelia:   … Well, then.

 

As it is a combination of two of my collections—mermaids and dolls—I suppose she’s not a bad find. Now I can look forward to spring break even more!
