Halloween is over. El Día de los Muertos is over. As far as I am concerned, that means that it is now Christmas time. Over the next few weeks I will slowly gain steam, so that by Thanksgiving I’ll be singing “Blue Christmas” and “Los Peces En El Rio” nonstop.
And anyone who bitches that I start the holidays too damn early can kiss my tinsel-festooned ass.

Date: 2006-11-03 09:35 am (UTC)I've always been so interested my atheists who like Christmas. All of my atheist friends do -- and by atheist I'm here meaning -- people who grew up without religion, don't miss it ... that kind of atheist, like you. Growing up I assumed that atheists hated Christmas, because when I was little I hated Christmas, LOL.
Then again, I guess that being atheist doesn't make you anti-Christmas, or anti-appropriating-fun-Christian-holidays-and-celebrating-the-secular-aspects. It's my other Jewish friends, my Buddhist friends ... etc, (at least those not religious enough to insist on it being a Chanukah gift) with whom I celebrate 'The New Year' like the Soviets did, LOL.
I dunno, I guess I'm being too serious for this entry, but you have thoughts?
