Oh, yeah, I have the basic information bible. The problem is that, even with outlines, the stories evolve as I write them, so there are things I want to go back and establish in earlier scenes, or that I want to change or rearrange. It's tough when just doing first drafts.
I hadn't thought of that with cooking, but it makes sense!
