Fascinating! I think it's great that the new medium is allowing for more in-depth stories. Of course, it can go too far--I have also discovered that sometimes I'll quit watching a series before it's over because I've hit a point that feels good as the end. (Case in point: Dexter. The first season was a magnificent 13-hour movie, and then--I was totally done.)

I notice that the earlier Mythbusters seasons played up the arguments a bit more. As they realized they could carry it without all the bickering, that seemed to drop off. Turns out people screaming at each other is not always better for TV!
