The Desert Mermaid

I read a review of the Muppets a while back that mentioned how incredibly hard it is to make shows that are warmhearted AND intelligent. And for some reason folks don't think that sells--so often shows go with MORE DRAMA AND FORCED CONFLICT because they think that's the only thing that works. And yet some of my favorite franchises are the rare nice ones--Muppets, Phineas and Ferb, Toy Story.
