I also would approve of this liveblogging. I don't play videogames myself (my frustration threshold is too low), but I still like lots of the stories and bits about them.
I remember actually having quite a bit of fun watching a friend of mine play through FFVII back in the day, and I've enjoyed a number of skellington1's anecdotes about playing Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
