I just wind up comparing it to the people who swap out eyes, repaint faces, or somehow manage to make Star Wars aliens out of AG dolls.
OK, so that's how far down the rabbit-hole goes. I was wondering what else there was to do to them that it wouldn't be easier to just find another doll that was closer.
I have a similar relationship with converting 40K Models. Most of what I do just involves using parts from other kits than the intended one, and so I never thought much of it compared to the people who are essentially sculpting their own Models, but apparently even the bit swaps I do are considered fairly extensive conversion.
