Yes. I'm not sure which will be harder - being there during the weeks when the old curmudgeon decides to bugger off for weeks and, I dunno, hunt moose or something* like he did a few times while I was in high school, or not being there when he finally does disappear and my family is left waiting for him and I come home and he's gone. Granted, the area we live in is full of people who will take pot-shots at cats while out hunting/messing around with their bb gun, so...

*He is starting to look more and more like Greebo in his old age. I would not put it beyond him to bugger off to hunt moose if he felt like it, despite there being no moose anywhere near us.
