LJ is a surprising investment for me--I didn't realize when I was starting just how useful I'd find it. It has supplanted paper journals for me, and given me a lot of friends and insights I probably wouldn't have had otherwise.
It does make you think, doesn't it? You're fine with threadjacking; it's been interesting to see how everyone responds to yuki_onna's post.
