Yes; apparently they have a tremendous sense of their own dignity. ;)
As for MQ, don't worry. I rarely get to be the object of wank--but after my initial WTF moment, I'd say it's kinda entertaining to accidentally generate controversy. (Really, I wouldn't have expected wank, either. I'm a certified bleeding heart, but even I've got my limits.)
