You misunderstand! They're doing it in a very different way from those other bands (who I also recommend, hint hint). Drums & Tuba and Fingathing do more of a big band mixed with turntablism thing, and Youngblood Brass Band is essentially a New Orleans style brass band that plays hip-hop.
Personally I have fantasies of forming a big band that plays a swing/surf-guitar fusion. Now if only I could play an instrument...
