McCoy becomes a real whiz with those hyposprays, though. My favorite episode is still definitely Amok Time because Spock's being all Pon Farr and Kirk is just wading deeper and deeper into disaster and finally McCoy's like "Dammit, Jim" and whips out his hypospray and FIXES EVERYTHING. Plus he gets to play a bonus round of his favorite game, Messin' With Spock. Clever bastard.
