It took me a few re-readings to really get that, but I think I got it. I'm always impressed with how much effort you put into this. I've only tried this once, maybe twice, and gave up without it going anywhere. You've actually reached a point at which you're coming up with ways to make it more difficult for you to do to keep it interesting.
And yeah, whenever I have to abbreviate, my approach usually defaults to removing vowels rather than cutting words in half.
