Yeah, the job I was offered is not exactly war crimes material, but the casual "Fuck your morals" reaction I got did give me an insight.
It's also so easy to go along with that. "Well, sure, you have MORALS, but this is how it's DONE, so that's okay." I found myself wondering why I felt I shouldn't do a job I feel is unnecessary, degrading, fearmongering, useless, and stupid.* And you see that all the time in politicians who make a moral declaration, go against it, and honestly don't see what the problem is because clearly morals don't really count when reality comes into play. It's an insidious thought process, and so easy to fall into.
