I completely agree with this. I was that way through most of school, and I suspect my laziness is getting worse. During my high school and undergrad years, there were at least some classes that I had to work a little harder for (e.g. math in high school, economic translation in university), because I didn't really enjoy them and they didn't come to me as naturally. But ever since I've started literally reading books for a living (a.k.a. being a grad student), the amount of unpleasant tasks has largely diminished, because most of the stuff I do, I care about. Hence, whenever I happen to have to do something I'd rather avoid (like a boring translation), my griping and moaning is through the roof.
But at least I'm aware of it, and I'm working on developing a better work ethic.
