I hadn’t thought the story of how PZ Meyers was expelled from Expelled! would generate this much media attention, but I’m glad it did (try this blog or this entry in this blog if you want lists of some of that media.) First of all, the story’s got an absolutely kickass punchline.*  And secondly, even if it is generating a lot of PR for a silly creationist movie, I’m not exactly a firm believer in “all public attention is good public attention.”  The incident is making creationist pundits look like incompetent, lying douchbags, and that’s something that gets overlooked or glossed over a little too often.

 

 

*Seriously, this is the sort of thing you only expect to happen in a universe with more narrativium floating around. It’s that awesome.
