Amelia Adds: The day John Adams thought would make a good Independence Day, since that’s the day Richard Harvey Lee’s resolution of independence was approved.  But alas, Adams was unable to convince everyone else. Perhaps it was because he was obnoxious and disliked.

 

AMELIA: Well, would you look at the time. I had better get to bed while it’s still night.

 

AMELIA: *goes through the Bedtime Routine, snuggles down under the covers, and turns off the light*

 

ILL-TIMED THOUGHT: You know, now that I think about it, the idea of carnivorous shadows that skeletonize people and sometimes take over their spacesuits and chase you around while the skeletonized people’s voices ask who turned out the lights on an endless loop on their communicators is actually a pants-wettingly scary idea when you’re lying in the dark, innit?

 

AMELIA: *turns the light back on*
