Last day of the writing group today, and I about cried when I left.  Already! Seems like I just started hanging with those whackos.  I’m very glad I found them—I may not have submitted many pieces to them, but I learned a lot about The Writing Process. Plus, these people are awesome. I’ve made a lot of good friends, and hope I can keep up with them online.

 

As a bonus, I got to meet biomekanic and make sure that he actually exists outside of the internest. He shall be my replacement in the group, apparently.

 

I’m gonna miss this place.

I Has Tattoo: Day 5

Shower this morning: scabs come off.  Not the most glamorous part of getting a tattoo. Other not-glamorous parts: having some other dude getting a tattoo in the same room, causing me to perform some acrobatics with my shirt and bra so as to expose my back without exposing any parts that would embarrass either of us; discovering that the bandages seemed to be made of that plasticky stuff they put under the ground beef when you buy it in the styrofoam tray fresh from the butcher; becoming remarkably adept at the non-flash shirt strip when people ask if they can see it.

 

Immediately after the scabs come off: IT IS THE ITCHING APOCALYPSE.

 

pixel39 recommends a good slap, which is what I do on skeeter bites. That may work.

On the plus side, bras are back in the picture.  Not wearing those just added bonus back pain.
