Actually, I generally wait until after class, or until I’m crashing my friends’ art history class. But I’ve discovered that I have an anthropology professor that I can’t hear. Not that he’s like, too quiet or something. It’s just that apparently my thalamus refuses to believe that his voice is not white noise. I order myself to LISTEN, goddammit, but he gets about half a clause into a sentence and suddenly my mind is wandering down labyrinths of anthropological folly while he fades into the background of “blah blah blah.” And he’s not even monotonal. He’s actually a pretty good speaker, I think. He’s lively, but I just can’t hear him.
I’ll have to work on that.
