It’s difficult to convey turning cartwheels and congaing in a blog, but that’s how I’m feeling right now.

 

Josh is coming back next year!

 

I realize that this is because he didn’t like LA, and it must be a painful decision to have to make. It’s definitely one that will set his future up, and there are doubtless regrets he takes on even as he feels that this is overall the best choice for him. But I can’t stop myself being totally thrilled that he’s coming back.

 

What we should do is, we should all rent a house. Liz, Josh, maybe Emily, maybe Anders, and me. A big ol’ house near campus where we set up a base of operations that features tons of DVDs and my cruddy little video game collection, where we can have big parties and I can actually cook decent food and the bathrooms would be clean and wouldn’t require a key, and the walls would be papered with Emily’s drawings.* A utopia in the middle of a college town!  Or possibly a ‘reality’ sitcom waiting to explode.

 

Granted, I’m not sure how me spending the first term in Kenya would fit into all that.  But I might not go. And even if I do, I’m sure we could work something out. Liz and I have already made elaborate plans for this whole scenario, although a few of them may be far-fetched.** I would really love for that to go well!

 

And even if it’s just that we live near each other, well—JOSH IS COMING BACK!

 

I’m gonna go back to conga-ing now.

*It’s possible that Anders wouldn’t care to live in a house full of crazy people, but he’s welcome to come along if he likes.
