Oh god. My niece is in kindergarten, and I already can't stand it. She reads something in a monotone, and I - lightly, she's not getting upset when I do this! - recite it back to her. "I-did-not-steal-the-cookie-really." She's getting the hang of this reading with expression thing. Thank GOD.
Working on the spatula nonsense as well, with such gems as "Honey, did that make SENSE?"
It's not enough to just randomly decode words, you have to remember that they, you know, MEAN things.
