I've always wondered how people with no sense of pitch can manage with languages like Mandarin and Vietnamese...
Also, I'm uncomfortable around clowns and mascots, but I think it's because they smile all the time (garden gnomes creep me out, too). My dislike of fixed smiles is not really a phobia, more of a quirk, but I wonder if it does exist as a phobia?
