The Perils Of Working Here

Why is it whenever I manage to actually return six things to the library, I find eight more things that need checking out?

I have no idea what I'll do if I ever quit working there. I LIKE regularly visiting the vast expanse of human knowledge. You just KNOW it wouldn't be the same if it stopped being my job.

I know what you mean about the return/check out ratio! Some weeks I fear that I'll reach the point where, by increasing my check out to return ration every week, I will sooner or later reach the point where I need to carry home and read in six weeks the entire contents of the library.

The circle of circulation!

What I love is when you spend, say, a month, requesting books through interlibrary loan, two one day, three the next week, and they call come in at once.
