Some well-meaning soul has been leaving Chick Tracts in the nooks and crannies of the Liberry. I keep finding them tucked next to the catalogs or on the edges of tables. So far I have not yet been convinced to be saved, but I have been haunted by that weird feeling you get when something from the Land Of Internet Crazies manifests in the physical world. Sorry, mystery evangelist. Probably not what you were going for.

I love those things. they're so ridiculous.

While those things aren't the whole reason I've been an avid D&D player for years, they certainly didn't hurt. I figured anything which gets this kind of reaction has to be worth checking out.

At first I believed they were intended as parodies. It was only after the fact that I learned they were meant in earnest, and was astounded. Obviously I can't even imagine running into one in real life. O_O

Chick tracts are a perfect demonstration of Poe's Law. To this day, no one is entirely certain whether Chick is missing crucial brain matter or playing a very long-reaching and subtle prank on fundies. (Although Occam's razor suggests the former)

HA we got those left in the bathroom at the museum I worked at. I lol'ed hardcore.

Then I threw them in the trash and scouted the rest of the museum for more (I did find one more on a windowsill).

A couple of years ago, someone would leave Jack Chick tracts in the library's ladies room. Just there as far as I know.

Oh man, I miss X-Entertainment's Chick Tract Theater. It was riot. (Soul Story. SOUL STORY.) But Jack Chick asked them to take it down (very politely and not at all angrily, apparently) so they did.
