I was so depressed I had to watch my favorite scene from the original series, barring pretty much the entirety of “Amok Time” (the “OMGYAY” moment alone ...). And now I share it with you:

Spock's facial expression at the end makes it. It's like he's saying, "You get yourself some tail, Bones, before Kirk gets there first."

Thanks to the internet and certain other fans, I ended up interpreting that scene very differently. Especially when Bones pulled his hand quickly away from her's and then Spock stalked off.

I like your interpretation better, but it still gave me a laugh.
