Nodding Off

Grah. Three days of relatives. I’m always amazed at how people can visit with guests for THREE DAYS STRAIGHT and not have any time alone. I’d have a great time visiting, then I’d sneak downstairs to play Professor Layton, read, and ruin some sci-fi.* But it was fun, if exhausting.

And tomorrow I’ll be going all day, and it sucks. Makes me wonder how I ever did school, really.

*That’s the best result of that article—I’ve been using “ruin some sci-fi” as a synonym for “do some writing.”

In related news, since that article, I've been using "ruin some sci-fi" as a synonym for having a vagina. :P

Having no alone time exhausts and grumpifies me. I don't get how people do that either.

Tell me about it. I recently visited my parents and other relatives for three straight weeks. Three weeks of constantly being surrounded. I wasn't even alone at night, because my partner was travelling with me. It made me realize how used I've grown to having at least a couple of hours of "loneliness" every day. Still, I can't say I was too fond of being alone all the time either.
