There's nothing quite like having such a good idea to solve a problem in your story that you spend the rest of the day thinking "God damn, I am a genius!"

Best feeling ever!

But of course I never have a scrap of paper to write it down on so I forget it by the time I DO find some paper. And then I hate myself for losing such a glorious insight.

I usually remember it weeks later though, and get to congratulate myself all over again on what a genius I am.
