Yes, that is creepy isn't it. Of course, that line of thinking also leads one to wonder where, since the well doesn't tap an aquifer, the water came from; or where everyone in Hyrule gets their food, clothes, money, etc.

I could say that it's DIFFERENT because blah blah blah video game world blah blah farms probably just offscreen past those hills blee blah and the well is only worrisome because it's THERE so I THINK ABOUT IT--but honestly, I wonder about the other stuff, too.

I also worry about the sustainability of Skyloft. BECAUSE.

Skyloft is easy. Everyone eats pumpkins. Obviously the same magic that keeps the islands afloat and provides an infinitely-replenishing pond and waterfall makes the ground super-fertile, so that just a few dozen square yards of farmland is enough for everybody. The loftwings probably eat those annoying rupee-carrying birds,
