The reason y'all haven't seen me in a few days is that I've had family things going on. Specifically, my brother is home, and so we have spent the last few days watching ALL THE STAR WARS. And when we watch things, we watch the hell out of them.

Also I am in the midst of the traditional Holiday Video Game Binge. I am saving Skyward Sword for after the appetizer, Super Mario 3D Land. Guys, I think we're doomed: the Goombas are getting smarter. I may be a while.

I used to have a tradition of watching all the Star Wars films in a row during Christmastime (All being the original trilogy, of course). Since the obsoletism of our VCR, though, it hasn't happened.

And if you think the Goombas have gotten smarter, wait 'til you fight some Bokoblins.

Oh, god, the hilarity this time with trying to explain the common language one uses to differentiate "Star Wars" from "The Prequels," who begot who, and the episode order. Abbott & Costello hijinks were had by all. (My final explanation was "Or if you want to make sure they know it's the ones with Luke, say 'the originals.' Or 'the GOOD ones.' Either way works.")

The sad thing is the kids at the library who check out the Clone Wars animated TV show bullshit and think that's Star Wars. I told one I liked the original movies better, to which he replied, "There are Star Wars MOVIES now?"
