So I shelled out the cash for the full-version Spore Creature Creator, and there is still no satisfactory trunk. But there’s a smallish one on there, my little green orly is made—he’s just a little cartoony, and like a real orly in the way that Super Mario resembles an actual person.

Then I got even more excited and made something that looked like a partille, and some sort of relative of The Hive, and a rúmúqilú, and even a fuzzworm.*  Tonight I may try an arhode or a wooslet!

… If you never hear from me again, you’ll know why.

*All of these critters reside in my head and have for quite a while. You’re not required to know what I’m talking about.

SCREENCAPS PLZ. XD! (I really, really need to find out what a wooslet is, I feel.)

Ah, you ask for wooslets when they're a little hard to generalize!

Wooslets are my crazy species. They've got a particularly weird psychology with a lot of quirks, but the most prominent is their ... uh ... enthusiasm for doing really cool things, combined with their lack of any inhibition. They've got some amazing scientific knowledge, and they're also the equivalent of comic book geeks--so they like to genetically engineer their kids to have unique and fascinating superpowers. This has gone on rather too long, and now, besides being really diverse-looking, they also have gotten to the point where they can't really reproduce without intervention.

So, basically, it's going to be hard to show you a typical wooslet. But I'm trying to make a sort of pre-engineering one, anyway! Wish me luck.

O_o!! I cannot wait to see this, LOL. I made an absolutely precious little antlered thing the other day. It clops about and makes the most darling noises.

There should be a Neogonodactlyus biomekanii in the shared critters file...

Dude. I can't wait for Spore. I'm still unemployed myself, but man, I'll splurge for that! Maybe I can find some way to track down your creatures. I don't know how the game plan works, though.

Bought you some souvenirs from Hawaii! Nothing spectacular or really... Hawaiian, I guess, but if you can Facebook me your address, I'll try to send them to you soon. :)
