Art AND Writing!

Blog Pimp O’ The Moment!

If there’s one person who can articulate the wonders of books, aliens, archaeology, and cephalopods in both art and the written word, that person is [personal profile] chairman_wow. As one of those individuals interested in everything, Hellen is an unrepentant nerd/geek and, to borrow a phrase from Terry Pratchett, she is her own distraction. Also, she plans to get a steampunk houseboat when she gets the money, and she will sit on the roof in her top hat sipping tea. I am invited to join her whenever my planet-hopping spaceship runs out of coal, and I get to wear spats! Someone with plans like that deserves a look, don’t you agree?

Also, it has recently come to my attention that [personal profile] chairman_wowis easily confused by paper. But we all have our kryptonite, don’t we?

Well, I can't entirely fault you your weakness. Things like fruit and washpans confused me when I went to Africa, and I SWEAR they put different ingredients in their Coca-Cola. Small things can throw you off pretty spectacularly. ;)

I've noticed that there is more regional variation in the taste of things like cola and other soft drinks than you'd expect. I think it may depend on water soft/hardness wherever the factory is.

Fanta is a lot more orange in the States. That really surprised me when I went back to visit a friend a few years ago. It's a much more yellow orange over here.
